People care about the environment but feel nothing they do will make a big enough difference.

Government's on the other hand don't, big businesses don't, because to care costs and not caring is free.

Saying that, I've seen evidence of small changes in the right direction which offers me some hope.

I've seen people pick up litter, I've seen people pick wooden products over plastic, I've seen people choose soap over body wash, I've seen people print on both sides of their paper, I've seen people recycle, I've seen people reuse water bottles, I've seen people walk and cycle instead of driving, I've seen people choosing veg options even when they are not vegetarian, I've seen people wearing more cotton and linin and wool to avoid buying synthetics, I've seen people keep their own farm animals, grow their own veg... All this is evidence people care.

It's a false narrative to promote people don't care. They care as much as they are capable.
